An organism with both botanical and mycellium properties was chosen for the project of engineering an information keeper
for it's robust ability to naturally survive mass extinction events and attempted culling
through millions of redundancies via deep and complex root systems and continuous, aggressive growth.

Cultivated into multiple subspecies in a vast array of colorations and shapes, all with different purposes,
ranging from medical rescue and care, electrical conduction, ecological observation and upkeep, message transmission, structural terraforming, and more;
Most common species are some variation of blue.

Typically presents as dark, thick flowering vines with large waxy leaves and red tendilling vine-anchors;
Flowers are five-petaled with long pronounced stamens, thick nectar and heavy scent,
falling along a wide spectrum from simple to intricate in overall appearance.

Requires specially trained, typically insectoid or avian gardeners to maintain and cultivate, many of whom no longer exist to do so;
Semi-sentience and negligible hardening maintenance over the years has left it with a vulnerability to becoming invasive and occasionally confrontational,
due to structual and psychological degradation caused by undirected overgrowth and a general lack of supervision and care.

Currently often follows unstable, dreamlike states of misdirected biological programming,
attempting to preserve itself and its world in whatever way it can manage,
becoming cancerous and mindless in an undirected, feverish haze.

Has even been known to piece together physical vessels for itself in a desperate attempt to interact with its world,
binding its vines around and into pieces of scrap, stones, fallen trees, electronics and machines, bones, dead bodies, or any other objects within its reach,
its vines acting as muscles and tendons to actualize pieces of itself into some sort of ambulatory form.
